The People That Make It Happen

Daedre Craig, Trial Manager, craigdae@msu.edu

Daedre has designed, planted, and managed the trial gardens since 2013.  She enjoys incorporating unusual plants such as edibles and succulents into her annual display beds.  Daedre is an MSU graduate from the Department of Horticulture.  Contact Daedre if you have any questions related to our trials or to our Plant Trials Open House

2015 Summer Interns:

  • Angela Nelson– recipient of the Annual Trial Garden Internship, co-funded by the Western Michigan Greenhouse Growers and Detroit Metro Flower Growers

  • Carly Roberts

All the summer interns have done their fair share of sweating this summer! Rain or shine, they have done a great job keeping the plants growing well. They also do a great deal of planting, weeding, and other maintenance as required.

Art Cameron, Trial Garden Director, cameron@msu.edu

Art works closely with Daedre and Dan to ensure that the trials and this website are going smoothly! He is also Director of the MSU Horticulture Gardens and Professor of Horticulture.

Dan Bulkowski, Greenhouse and Garden Manager, bulkows1@msu.edu

Our fearless leader in the greenhouse and garden!  Dan runs the entire show and helps to fix just about anything that breaks.  An impossible job –but he manages to pull it off – and with a smile!  Dan is an MSU graduate from the Department of Horticulture.

Our MSU Horticulture Garden Volunteers

Each Tuesday, our faithful volunteers show up for 3 hours to help on numerous garden activities. They accomplish a great deal and we appreciate all their help!
